The United Nations Entity For Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, commonly known as UNWOMEN, is a UN entity working for the empowerment of woman. Denise Brieva

Denise is a first-year student of the Law LLB and Grado en Derecho double degree in King's College London and Universitat Pompeu Fabra. She was born into a Cuban family in Barcelona, Spain, where she was raised, and is currently living in London. Up to 18 years old, she attended the European International School of Barcelona, where she started her MUN journey almost five years ago. Having participated in numerous conferences as a delegate, and having been part of the BIMUN executive team as Head of Administrative Staff (BIMUN 2018) and Director General (BIMUN 2019), she is looking forward to chairing the for the first time in the UNWOMEN committee, as she is very passionate about the issues that will be debated.
