INVITATION LETTER

Honourable Delegates, Student Officers, Faculty Advisors and Staff,

On behalf of the BIMUN ESADE 2021 Executive Team, we are pleased to invite you to the fifth annual Barcelona International Model United Nations conference taking place from the 23rd to the 25th of April in Barcelona. 

​

The main venues for the conference include ESADE University, BIMUN’s main collaborator, and the European International School of Barcelona, two well known top-notch institutions that have proven to have an open mind towards the global issues we face daily. 

​

This year’s conference is set to host seven different committees: UNESCO, ECOSOC, UNHRC, UNODC, UNWOMEN, WHO, and the SC. The large number of committees offer participants the chance to select their committee according to their interests and makes for a great diversity of topics. Through BIMUN, young minds learn to listen, think and reach solutions that improve and humanize our global society, giving them useful experience to use once their turn to become the leaders of tomorrow comes.

For the second year, the BIMUN ESADE team is proud to offer the all-inclusive pack, designed for all those participants who are in need of accommodation during the time of the conference as is the case for delegations travelling from abroad. The BIMUN Executive Team takes care of the accommodation reservations for you thanks to our partnership with Hotel Sant Cugat, a 4-star hotel in the center of the city, at walking distance from the location where the debate sessions will be held. Participants with the All-inclusive pack will be given the chance to choose between shared (double and triple) or individual rooms. Lunch on Friday and Saturday is included for all participants and will be served in a restaurant within ESADE’s campus.

BIMUN ESADE takes pride in the various backgrounds and cultures of its participants, making it a truly culturally diverse conference. It is the moment to set young minds free, and learn from one another to achieve a more globalized and unprejudiced world. Current times are not easy, with a global pandemic striking and creating even bigger forms of inequality and poverty, it is time to act together to reach viable outcomes. For this reason, BIMUN ESADE 2021 showcases its new endeavour for this upcoming conference: Unity Through Adversity. We must come together to find new solutions listening to all voices - that will be the sole way of making our world a better, fairer place.

• Regular registration: September 1st, 2020 - November 30th, 2020

• Late registration: November 30th, 2020 - January 1st, 2021
