23-25 APRil 2021

"unity through adversity"

Honourable delegates, Student Officers, Faculty advisors and staff,

With the evolution of the global crisis surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, we firmly believe that it is vital for us to change and adapt with the times for academically and culturally enriching activities such as the BIMUN ESADE 2021 conference to prevail against adversity whilst preserving the excellence of the experience we provide. To this end, we have decided to transition the conference from an in-person model to a fully online version on April 23rd-25th 2021.

We know that this is not what you expected but rest assured that our online conference is going to be a top-notch experience with all the best of MUN conferences as well as the utmost safety. To that end, we have closely partnered with Gatherly, an online conferencing platform, to create a custom platform specifically tailored for these types of events to ensure that you get the best possible experience.

The online conference will be carried out on a platform that allows for online voting, private messaging between delegates and an organized debate with a great flow of ideas. Our main objective is for there to be the smoothest transition possible between an in-person model and an online one. To do so we have decided to maintain many of the most beloved events of BIMUN such as the teambuilding and the intricacies of committee work among many others. We strive to allow all participants to partake in a high-quality, professional conference, regardless of where they join us from. The new participation fee for this option will be 45€.

The main framework of the conference will be as follows: there will be 4 committees in total: the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), the World Health Organisation (WHO), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crimes (UNODC) and the Security Council (SC).

It deeply saddens us that we will not be able to meet all of you face-to-face come April but we are positive that the online conference will allow us to maintain both the quality of the conference and the enriching experience it provides for all, albeit in a different way. Now, more than ever before, it is essential for us to strive for Unity through Adversity and ensure that the trials and tribulations we are currently facing do not impede the furthering of the education of young people.

We genuinely hope to see you all at BIMUN ESADE 2021. For any further information or queries please do not hesitate to contact us at or through our website (

Yours faithfully,
